The Rajasthan team had been a revelation in the Inaugural Season. Considered as one of the weaker teams before the start of the IPL 2008 the Royals had proved everybody wrong.Not only the Royals won the IPL 2008 but they won it in style.

Being the only IPL team without an Indian Icon Player the Royals didnt let it bother them. And they had no reason to worry while being in the able hands on of the most prolific spinner of recent times - Shane Warne.
